No. 16 || Part One

Last week, on the 8th, was my birthday. It was a fun-packed few days. I thought I would share, in a couple parts, the pictures. So...part one:

For my birthday I wanted to ride a horse. So that's what I did, thanks to some awesome people putting it together. It was SO MUCH fun. The horse walked along and was on a lead rope most of the time, just so I could get a feel for it. I learned how to stop, go, turn left and right.

Again, I really really loved it. And just because, here's a video....

Rumor has it that today was the coldest one in 20 years. It's the kind of cold you can feel in your bones, the kind that seeps through the walls. But, I'm thankful for this warm house, a cozy bed, and (many) cups of hot chocolate.

the last day of christmas break

Today we woke up to snow, and good amont of cold, here in Kansas. I took advantage of the last day of Christmas/New Year break to do some reading...more than I've done in awhile. The pictures of snow are just taken from my bedroom windows, but maybe tomorrow I'll venture out into the cold to take some real snow pictures.

Also, today Charlotte tried on her snow suit. (She didn't get to go outside, though...too chilly!)

hello 2014 & images from my new camera

This Christmas held a camera for me. I am now the proud owner of a Canon Rebel T3i. I shoot in AV mode now, but hope to learn more about Manual mode. Also, yay for video capabilities! Maybe a vlog or something needs to happen? Right now I have the kit lense and am trying to decide between a telephoto or 50mm for a second lense.

So, 2014 is now here. 2013 was a good year. I mean, I got a baby sister in February...how can you beat that? Besides that, I second shot my first wedding and started sophmore year of highschool, and completed a Read the Bible in a Year plan with my pen-pal. Now I have a list of things I want to do this year, and a long list of books I want to read. A few plans I'm going to try and stick to. I'll turn 16 in a matter of days. And because of the new year, here's a new blog design.
