5 on 5: november

I'm back with my November 5 on 5 today! I thought it would be neat to take some pictures to show how the lanscape is looks lately in comparison with October's 5 on 5. It seemed that the trees lost their leaves overnight. All it took was a chilly day and a bit of wind. So... outside looks pretty monochromatic. The bare branches jut out against the sky which appears equally as void of color as the grass. The sprouting wheat fields look out of place with their greeness.

It's funny how, now, the "newness" of the sight of all this is exciting, but I know by the middle of December I'll be aching for some sunshine. In the meantime, though, I'm looking forward to pulling out that puffy winter coat, slipping on those fuzzy gloves, mixing up some more hot chocolate -- not to mention Thanksgiving! Christmas! and all that comes with those holidays. :)

xoxo,
haley

P.S. Guess what, you guys?! I'm guest posting on the Boyer Family Singers' blog today! Go check the post out here and give their lovely blog a follow!

  1. Oh, the third frame is stunning. Winter is my favorite and although it does get a little mundane around January and February, (There are only so many photographs you can take of a leafless tree branch with snow on it) I love it so much. I also think the cloudy days and snow on the ground create the best indoor light. :)

  2. For the Bethany House thing you do, what subjects did you pick? Is it a 'safe' website and stuff? I'm thinking about signing up for it. I want to know if it's something my parents would let me do. Is it possible you could do a post on it?

    Thanks
    xx

    1. If you look at the end of this page: http://bakerpublishinggroup.com/bethanyhouse/bookreviewers you can see which genres of books you have to choose from. When I signed up I believe I selected Contemporary Fiction, Historical Fiction, Mystery/Suspense, Christian Living, & ARCs. As far as a "safe" website, I've been very pleased the emails, the option of books to choose from, and the process by which you submit the link to your review.

This post my friend did on her blog about book reviewing is the one I read before signing up for the Bethany House review program: http://theliterarymaidens.blogspot.com/2013/08/interested-in-becoming-book-reviewer.html Bethany House is the first review program discussed.

For more information here's the link to the review program's FAQs: http://bakerpublishinggroup.com/bethanyhouse/bookreviewers/blogger-review-faqs

I personally have really enjoyed reading and reviewing a book from them every month! Hope this helps!
