springtime on the farm.

raspberries are good. really good.

There's four fluffy kittens underneath the floorboards in the hay shed. They're getting curious and have figured out how to get out from their hole. The mulberries on the tree in the front yard are sour right now, but they'll soon be ripe and juicy, staining faces and the bottom of feet with their sweet, purple nectar. There's a strawberry bed in the garden, full of verdant flourishing plants. There's colorful butterflies flitting and hovering over the grass. There's zinnia sprouts in the flower bed. The brome fields are bright green. There's little speckled eggs and two tiny squirmy baby birds in the birdhouse. There's pink and white little wild flowers scattered along the side of the road.

I love springtime on the farm.

And now there's a calf in the east pin. Her name is Dolly -- Dolly Bright. She's a little blonde calf that Addy and I take care of now. We named her Dolly after Anne of Green Gables' cow. It was fitting. Do you know what Anne's cow does? She gets out of her pin -- then they have to chase her. Which is exactly what we did. Oh, the adventures we have. Ha! Dolly ran down our road with strength and speed we didn't know such a skinny, orphaned cow could have. Thankfully, though, Addy flagged down a man who was driving down the road, he happened to be a cowboy. This morning he found Dolly and brought her back.

...

Also, do you like the new design? This one is specifically special because this is my first attempt at conquering minima.

Happy Friday!

kittens.

The kittens are around three weeks old. They're awful cute. And that black and white striped one? Well, I probably shouldn't pick a favorite, but it has some personality. Just sayin'. But, then again, they're all adorable. And what's more? There's another, newer litter of kittens somewhere around the farm that we haven't found yet.

Happy weekend!

p.s. thanks for all the sweet comments on my double exposures! so glad you guys liked them. :)

We have puppies. Six of them. All different sizes. Would you like to see them? I thought you would.

They're pretty adorable.

Happy Friday!

short letters.

Dear cold weather,
I will not complain about you. I actually begged you to come. But now that you're here you're a little...um...cold?

Dear Elsie Dinsmore books,
I like your old-English a lot.

Dear yellow,
You are a lovely color.

Dear readers {new & old},
You are all fantastic.

Dear landscape,
You are great for pictures.

Dear Mom,
Exactly what seed did you plant in this flower pot?

Dear tom's,
I would like one of you in every color. Thank you.

Dear song,
I can't get over you.

Love, me.

P.S. this isn't an original idea; credit goes to hannah and carlotta.

miscellaneous thoughts.

Alternately titled: i have know clue what the title should be.

Some times I really need some new things to take pictures of. Last night little sis and I went on a walk with our grandparents, camera in tow, as always. Here's a glimpse into our walk.

My Grandma spoils us. A lot. She made us this for dessert. That's pudding. Chocolate pudding. With cool whip on top. And chocolate chips sprinkled over it. Mini chocolate chips. She's my Grandma, you can't have her.

This is what I attempted to do with my hair this morning. Ya, I followed a tutorial for that. It didn't turn out right.  Apparently.

This morning I woke up and my alarm read: 1:41am. It can't be 1:41am! I thought, I must me around seven and my alarm re-set when the power turned off last night because of the thunder storm. I'm proud of myself for getting up at "seven am" without an alarm. I get up and look at my Mom and Dad's clock, that automatically resets itself when the power goes off. It read: 10:23am. Wow.

But really, that picture above is around 11 o'clock. Tell me it doesn't look like it's a least 7 am.

Happy Thursday!

P.S. You may notice the back ground is gone. Ya. I told you couldn't stick with a design for long ;)
